I enjoyed this one more than the first book. I felt more connected to the characters, and I was much more invested in what happened to them. The story kept moving, but it also took time to show how people were coping and adjusting to everything that had changed.
I especially liked that we finally got some answers and resolutions after the events of the first book. Not everything is wrapped up, but enough happens to make the story feel satisfying while still leaving me curious about what comes next. Overall, this was a stronger read for me than Edge of Collapse.
