I am proud to be a 20-year breast cancer survivor, and even more
blessed to share that my mom is a 30-year breast cancer survivor. We are both
living proof that early detection and advances in treatment save lives.
This month, I encourage everyone to take a moment and prioritize
their health. Schedule your annual mammogram, perform regular self-exams, and
pay attention to any changes in your body. Knowing your body and recognizing
the signs can make all the difference.
Please also remind the people you love to do the same. Early
detection saves lives, and a simple screening could be the reason someone gets
many more years with their family and friends.
Let's honor survivors, remember those we've lost, support those
currently fighting, and continue spreading awareness.
