We had an encounter with a rat yesterday
in this house...read aabout it here.
My question for you this week:
What's the scariest thing you have ever encountered in your own home??
Ratty was not the scariest thing I've encountered in my home, it was an intruder (I had a restraining order on), but I won't get into that.

their once was a lizard in my mom's house, I ran so fast to the back of the house! HA HA HA
ReplyDeleteWell, between my son's royal messes.. lol Let me tell you that is scary. Oh, I remember.. 1 1/2 years ago when we moved to this house... I was in our guest bathroom lol and i reached for toliet paper and realized there was a scorpion hanging on the side of it... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I was sooo scared.. my husband took care of it with a bat lol unfortunately we lost the roll of TP too lol
ReplyDeleteThe scariest thing I've encountered in my home would be a lizard. I know that's silly but I'm a freak for reptiles. I don't like any of them.
ReplyDeletewe have just moved in here at a military school campus a couple of months ago. i guess, the scariest thing about being here is hearing comotion outside. i always wonder what's going on and hope that nothing fatal has happened ...
ReplyDeleteNothing too scary. In the summer we do get big spiders {for Michigan anyway} making webs outside. Eeek! =)
ReplyDeleteWe have monster house centipedes that scare the heck out of me.
ReplyDeleteOf course the thing that scared me the most was a night someone tried to get into my son's bedroom window. We called 911 and the police eventually came. They caught the guy down the road. He was a college kid that was so drunk he was lost and thought he was home. He did not understand why we would not let him in.
Nothing too crazy, but we get some big crickets and spiders around here. They definitely startle me :)
ReplyDeletea HUGE CENTEPEDE on our bed!
ReplyDeleteUm the lizard that was in my closet living in my piled up laundry. I ran out screaming like a crazy lady. Yucko!

We've had spiders, centipedes & scorpions so you take your pick. At this point I make everyone wear shoes in the house!
ReplyDeleteOutside we have snakes, sun spiders, tarantulas & the above mentioned creepies.

big spiders I hate them
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a mouse. I was reaching in my pantry to grab a loaf a bread and a mouse was munching away on it.
ReplyDeletea frog!
ReplyDeleteflying roaches!
ReplyDeleteI recently talked about the mice in my house but a few days later I found some Rat poop in my bathroom. It was pretty new and in a place I had just recently cleaned. We put out poison and I haven't seen him or any more droppings so hopefully he is either gone or dead.
ReplyDeleteYou have me curious about your who...
Oh gosh, that would be spiders!
ReplyDelete(((shudder))). Walked into a web once in the basement-I hate that!
When we lived in Texas, the huge roaches! They are so much bigger there than here in Missouri. eecckkk!
ReplyDeleteWe used to live in Baytown Texas...There was cockroaches ALL OVER the place. You'd flip on the bathroom light and they would scatter...uugghhhh!! Nasty little boogers....
ReplyDeleteI've never had anything too too scary. I did just move out of a first floor apartment in Houston and I had a terrible roach problem. They were all the baby sized ones but once there was a larger one that had crawled up under my razor and I went to grab the razor and out ran that thing. I thought I was going to die. I am so glad I'm not on the 1st floor anymore. Too many bugs coming in from the outside.
ReplyDeleteThat's easy...my daughter after her nap covered from head to toe in something brown...it WAS NOT chocolate. I will never again let her nap in a onesie.
ReplyDeleteThe water damage I created by running the dishwasher when the sink was disconnected because we got new countertops!!!
ReplyDeleteHey..yes I totally read that! I've been super busy the past few days though! Hopefully next week will slow down a little for me!!
ReplyDeleteIn my house? Nothing...but back in HS there was a snake in my parents house and my MUCH YOUNGER sis came to me telling me there was a snake in the living room...well my brother had a rubber snake and I thought she was talking about that.
NOPE..sure enough it was a REAL one...and just the two of us home at the time! AHHHHHHHHHH
Um, I think the scariest thing was a centipede running across my floor as I was getting out a dvd for my son to watch. Those creepy things give me the chills.
ReplyDeleteumm... i guess it would have to be mice. they weren't really scary though, just creepy. i hated knowing they were around and most of the time i couldn't see them.
ReplyDeletewe killed a few with traps and then got a dog. they pretty well disappeared after that =)
