This morning we posed for a group photo and then took Aunt Debbie to the airport. Traffic was surprisingly tame, so we made a quick detour to Hobby Lobby to let her browse. Grandma stocked her up with yarn and some Red Hots for Uncle David’s snack package she sends him in Iraq every few weeks—because nothing says “love from home” like spicy candy and crafting supplies.
Aunt Debbie’s plane even left a little early—our grandparents didn’t know planes could do that! She got to Memphis in time to catch her next flight to Atlanta, though she missed the earlier connection to Melbourne. At least Atlanta airport has more to do than Memphis, so she was slightly entertained.
On the way back to our grandparents’ house, we stopped at Lubby’s for lunch. Back home, we played, went swimming, and then “worked” on our computers (aka avoided actual work). Tonight, it’s clean-up time for church tomorrow. Grandma preaches at the vesper service, and we get the best part—ice cream after vespers.
This is the last blog post of our trip. We leave Monday for home. It’s been so much fun here, but we’re definitely starting to miss Mom and our siblings.
