I try to do at least one load of laundry every single day. Thankfully, I have a WONDERFUL washer. I can even program it to start up to eight hours later or soak for eight hours, which is a lifesaver.
I fold clothes straight out of the dryer—no excuses. Then I sort everything into four baskets: the three boys, the three girls, mine & Dad’s. The boys are responsible for putting their clothes away and figuring out what’s theirs. I usually do the girls’ clothes… which is probably why there are two baskets of clean clothes in their room at this moment.
Socks, however, are a whole different issue and will definitely be another post.
So that’s how this mom of six does laundry… how do you do it?

How great to be able to program your washer...hmmm...could I ask that on Christmas list???

WEll...I do a ton of laundry but try NOT to do it everyday! I'm prasin God that Football season is over! PEEEEUWW!
ReplyDeleteI place folded piles on my kitchen table in birth order and the boys know that they need to have their pile upstairs by the time supper rolls around.
Socks...I have a shelf above my dryer. Socks are placed in piles by birth order (unmatched). I try to buy all the same socks so they don't have to look for a match.
