Tackle it Tuesday

For the past week I have been deciding on the permanent home for my blog. I love options at both Blogger and Word Press. All the feedback I received recommended Blogger.  So I am trying to get my Blog the way I'd like it here. I have a new three column template with a new Background and header. It's still not perfect or quite the way I want it but it is much better than before. Now if I can just find some code for those cool tabs. If there's a will there's a way, right? Hey, I'm learning my way around HTML a bit, who knows maybe there is a future career in the works?

Anyhow, here's where I am right now. The Banner is huge! But if it isn't it is off-center in either Fire Fox or I E. Wish I knew how to put dividers between the columns or a background color behind columns! THAT would be cool. If you don't mind, please give me you HONEST opinions!  Hey, this is your opportunity to nit pick! Go for it!

  1. Well, I am at work right now and a lot of colors and graphics are blocked, so I may not be seeing your new look as I should be... but I wanted to leave a comment to say that I do see and LOVE your header! I don't think it looks too big, I think it is great!

  4. I just (last week, in fact) switched from regular wordpress to self-hosted wordpress. It's fantastic! You have to pay a monthly hosting fee, but you can participate in ads and affiliate programs, which should, if you have much of an audience, cover the fees in time. I chose godaddy as a host, which allowed me to buy a year of hosting for about 57 bucks. The best part about a self-hosted wordpress blog is the abundance of themes available. There are literally thousands! If you have any questions, come visit my blog and let me know. I'm still a newb, but I've learned a lot! :)

  5. I think it looks perfect. Your header is fine. MINE is huge lol. I wouldn't change a thing personally. It's very cute and unique.
    Blessings to you!

  6. I like the layout! I use Firefox and it looks centered. Where did you get your layout? Mine still has blogger qualities that I cannot change, like the white background behind my words.

I got my layout from coolest blog on the block, but it doesn't override bloggers layout.
I think you're site is very pretty!

  7. If you remove the code for the header, then go back in to install it. Before you enter the header again, click on the size to fit button. That will make your header shrink down to the correct size. For some reason, that button is not there after you enter the header info.

  8. I think your banner is prefect & it's not off centered from what I can tell. I'm assuming you're talking about the header on this blog, right?

The only think I can see as an issue, is it's a little hard (for me) to read over the polka dots. You might either change the font size, color or the background?

Other than that, I think the set up is cute & you've done a great job. Although this is my first time here, so I don't know what it looked like before? If it even looked different? Just ignore me, lol.

  9. I think it's great. If you feel it's too big have you tried using the 'small' upload on blogger? You can also re-size in photobucket quite easily although I think if it were smaller you probably wouldn't be able to see the image so clearly [did I mention I wear bi-focals!]
    Cheers
